Job summary

ALPLA is seeking a proactive Preventive Maintenance Technician to maximize the uptime of blow moulding machinery and production equipment. Based in Aston Clinton, Aylesbury, you will ensure that machinery operates efficiently and safely according to maintenance procedures and health & safety standards.

Your role will involve repairs, completing maintenance logs, and adhering to quality and hygiene policies.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify faults and determine effective repair methods.
• Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces when required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all equipment, machinery and peripherals operate efficiently.
• Carry out repairs on machines as part of breakdown maintenance.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and maintenance logs accurately.
• Ensure compliance with quality, hygiene and food safety policies.
• Perform any other duties reasonably required by supervision.

Shift Pattern: 4 on/4 off

£up to £48,000 Dependant on Experience

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Preventive Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team. This role is focused on maximising the uptime and performance of blow moulding machinery, associated production equipment, and automated warehouse systems through planned preventive maintenance and continuous improvement.

You will play a key role in ensuring all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in line with company maintenance procedures and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all equipment, machinery and peripherals operate efficiently and at full capability, ensuring a continuous production process.
• Carry out repairs on machines as part of breakdown or preventative maintenance.
• Ensure that all relevant paperwork and maintenance logs are completed correctly and accurately in accordance with company procedure.
• Ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with quality, hygiene and food safety policies.
• To perform any other duties in connection with the job that may from time to time be reasonably required by supervision and which are consistent with the Purpose of job/mission.
