Job summary

ALPLA INC. is seeking a Packing Operative for our Mansfield site. The role focuses on ensuring packed goods meet specifications, with attention to label accuracy and packaging quality.

You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with shifts in a 3-crew pattern and full training provided. Benefits include a company pension, life assurance from day one, and free parking on site.

Qualifications

Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Experience operating machinery or basic fault fixing is advantageous.
Awareness of health and safety requirements in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Ensure packed product meets required specification and report defects.
Check packaging quality and remove non-conforming cartons.
Verify labels match product, date and packer number.
Ensure goods are wrapped properly and report faults promptly.
Maintain high housekeeping and follow health and safety practices.
Perform other duties aligned with the main job purpose.

At our Mansfield site we currently have opportunities within our packing/distribution department for Packing Operatives to join us.

Responsibilities: Packing Operative:

To ensure the product being packed meets the required specification. To report any defects to Supervision.

To ensure the packaging is of an acceptable standard, removing any cartons, trays, etc. which do not meet the required specification.

To check that each label is the correct one for the product being packed. To ensure that the date and packer no. is clearly marked on each label.

To ensure that goods are properly wrapped and to report any faults immediately to supervision.

To ensure that housekeeping is of the highest standard at all times.

To carry out all duties in accordance with health and safety practice.

To perform any other duties in connection with the operation of providing good quality packaging, that may from time to time be reasonably required by supervision and are consistent with the \"Main Purpose of the Job\".

What makes you great

Previous experience within a fast paced manufacturing environment

Previous experience of operating machinery/basic fault fixing would be highly advantageous

Awareness of H&S requirements within a manufacturing environment
