Job summary

DPD Tamworth is hiring a Warehouse Logistics Operative to join our fast-paced team at Unit 4 Indurent Park, Tamworth. You will be hands-on with picking/packing, loading/unloading, and scanning to ensure on-time deliveries.

The role runs 40 hours per week, with shifts 08:00–16:30. Training is provided from day one, with full PPE and uniform supplied.

Job Description

• Contract Type: Permanent / 40hours per week


• Salary: £28,177- increasing to £29,677 on completion of relevant MHEtraining


• Hours of Work: 08:00 to 16:30


• Days of Work: As per request to recruit

DPD Logistics are a fulfilment warehouse; we hold stock for a number of key customers at our site in Tamworth and as a Warehouse Logistics Operative you will be required to pick and pack to meet consumer demand.

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift but as a warehouse operative you will be the backbone of our logistics operation playing an important role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service. Key duties include;

• Loading and unloading, scanning, picking and packing parcels with precision.


• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!).


• Using our tech to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time.


• Operation of different Material Handling Equipment (MHE) toincluding Counter Balance, Flexi trucks and Man riders
