Job summary

DPD UK is hiring energetic Warehouse Operatives to join our Doncaster team. This fixed-term contract offers 12 or 30 hours per week with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour, plus enhanced overtime rates.

You’ll be on your feet, loading, unloading and sorting parcels in a fast-paced environment. As part of a sustainability-focused leader, you’ll use technology to track parcels, operate scanners and warehouse equipment, and ensure safety and accuracy every shift.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy.

• Using technology systems to ensure parcels reach the right destination on time.
• Operating warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (scanners, conveyors, handling gear).
• Maintaining high health, safety and housekeeping standards in the warehouse.
• Conducting quality checks and reporting discrepancies or damaged items promptly.
• Collaborating with the team to meet daily targets and shift objectives.
• Adhering to attendance expectations and reliability.

LOCATION: DPD Doncaster - Unit 2 Aero Centre, Doncaster, DN9 3GP

Job Description

• Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract until January 15th 2027 – 12 / 30 Hours Per Week
• Days of Work: 5 days per week starting after 12pm

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
