Job summary

RVM Systems UK in Watford is seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Manager to lead our warehouse operations as the UK rollout accelerates. You will ensure machines, parts and equipment move smoothly from goods-in to installation and field support, while embedding safe, efficient processes across the site.

Managing day-to-day inventory, stock control, dispatch and transport planning, you will grow the network by rolling out new sites and expanding storage.

Job description

Job Title: Warehouse and Logistics Manager

Reports To: MD

Location: Warehouse-based, Tandy House, Regal Way, Watford, WD24 4YE, with travel to other sites as the network expands

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with flexibility to meet business needs

Purpose of the Role

With the UK's Deposit Return Scheme rollout driving significant growth in equipment volumes and distribution requirements, we're looking for an experienced Warehouse and Logistics Manager to lead our warehouse operations and support the wider rollout of our distribution and logistics network. This role is central to ensuring machines, parts, and equipment move efficiently and safely from goods-in through to installation and field support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including goods-in, stock control, storage, and dispatch
  • Plan and support the rollout of RVMs, warehouse and logistics processes as the business scales ahead of DRS demand, including new sites or expanded storage capacity where required
  • Oversee stock accuracy and inventory management systems, ensuring equipment and parts are tracked effectively
  • Coordinate logistics and transport planning to ensure timely delivery and collection of machines and equipment to installation and service teams
  • Manage, motivate, and develop warehouse team members, including recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Ensure all warehouse activity complies with health and safety requirements, working closely with the Health and Safety Manager to embed safe systems of work (manual handling, vehicle loading, PUWER, etc.)
  • Manage relationships with couriers, hauliers, and logistics partners, including cost and service level reviews
  • Monitor and report on warehouse KPIs (accuracy, dispatch times, cost, damages/losses) to senior management
  • Support continuous improvement of warehouse layout, processes, and systems as volumes grow
  • Ensure compliance with relevant quality and environmental standards (ISO 9001/14001) within warehouse operations
  • Manage equipment and vehicle maintenance schedules relevant to warehouse and logistics operations
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager, or similar operational role
  • Experience managing stock control, goods-in/dispatch, and inventory systems
  • Experience leading and developing a warehouse team
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage growth and change
  • Good working knowledge of warehouse health and safety requirements (manual handling, PUWER, vehicle safety)
  • Full, valid UK driving licence
  • Experience scaling or setting up warehouse operations to support business growth
  • Experience within an equipment, technology, or field-service-supported business
  • Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001/14001 quality and environmental framework
