Job summary

IPL Sittingbourne is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our onsite warehouse team at the packing facility in Sittingbourne. This permanent, site-based role offers a 4 on 4 off shift pattern from 7am to 7pm and responsibilities including picking, packing and dispatch, goods in/out, and maintaining safety standards.

You will need a forklift licence and experience in fast-paced warehouse environments, with attention to detail and good communication skills to support smooth operations and team

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced warehouse environments such as warehouse/manufacturing/pack house background.
• Forklift Truck Licence and understanding of warehousing processes, with manual handling training.

Responsibilities

• Picking, packing and dispatch of goods according to warehouse procedures.
• Receipt and checking of incoming stock and correct labeling/temperature controls.
• Complete Goods In/Goods Out/Picking paperwork and waste disposal per company guidelines.
• Operate MHE trucks and conduct daily safety checks in line with warehouse guidelines.

About The Role

Join Our Dynamic Onsite Warehouse Team at IPL Sittingbourne!

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to become a vital part of our onsite Warehouse Team at our packing facility in Sittingbourne. If you are passionate about Production and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!

Position Details:

• Schedule: 4 on 4 off, 7am - 7pm
• Location: IPL Sittingbourne - Site Based Role
• Contract Type: Permanent

Your key responsibilities will include:

• As a Warehouse Key Operative you will provide accurate and prompt picking, packing and dispatch of the depot warehouse goods by completing various warehouse tasks, as safely, accurately and as efficiently as possible, upholding the highest standards of health and safety at all times
• You will undertake receipt and checking of incoming stock in line with company goods in process, ensuring all label and temperature disciplines are completed appropriately and product is correctly located within the warehouse
• You will ensure that all relevant paperwork, relating to Goods In/Goods Out/Picking is completed in full at all times and Ensure all waste is disposed of safely and in line with company processes, segregating waste as necessary
• Undertaking MHE truck duties as required ensuring it is driven correctly at all times, you will ensure daily safety checks are conducted thoroughly and company warehouse guidelines observed

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment is essential, specifically within a warehouse/manufacturing/pack house/produce background
• You should have a Forklift Truck Licence and a good understanding of warehousing/store processes and procedures, along with the possession of manual handling training
• With the ability to work under pressure you should also have good attention to detail and good communication skills
