Job summary

NewCold is seeking a Key User / IT Systems Specialist to join our Wakefield team. You will bridge warehouse operations and IT systems, supporting the MLS/WMS, configuring hardware, and handling RF processes to keep automated operations efficient.

You will work with IT specialists and operations teams to manage user access, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement across the site, ensuring a secure and reliable food‑industry warehousing network.

Qualifications

• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or logistics software.
• Experience with user access management and hardware configuration.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day operation of Warehouse Management System (MLS) and manage inbound/outbound/mixing orders.
• Facilitate order transfers to the Transport Management System (TMS) and configure XML outputs.
• Maintain barcode structures, stock adjustments, pallet parameters and reason codes, and support detopping and picking.
• Configure and install laptops, workstations and site hardware; administer user accounts and RF systems; support access control and security protocols.
• Monitor, diagnose and resolve system issues using diagnostic tools and log analysis; log incidents in Topdesk Case Management.
• Develop and maintain understanding of automated site control systems (MFCS, C3, CHUI) and the reshuffle programme; support RF processes and customer requirements.
• Collaborate across departments to improve site operations and system performance.
