Job summary

Pertemps Yusen is recruiting a Warehouse Operative for our Northampton site (NN7 2FR). The role involves keeping a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and assisting with general duties.

You will operate equipment including a Counterbalance Forklift, support waste management, and ensure safety procedures are followed. Hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm, with a pay rate of £13.59 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential.
• Good attention to detail and maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
• Operate an industrial sweeper as required.
• Move baled cardboard using a Counterbalance forklift.
• Manage waste streams and site bins.
• Support housekeeping and recycling activities.
• Ensure all tasks are performed safely per procedures.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

About the RoleWe are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to help maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping facilities well maintained and enjoys a varied, hands-on position.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining warehouse and site cleanliness to a high standard
• Operating an industrial sweeper across the site
• Moving baled cardboard using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck
• Managing waste streams and controlling site bins
• Supporting housekeeping and recycling activities
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience preferred
