Job summary

Proactive Technical Limited is seeking a Sales Engineer to join the Sales Engineering team in the UK. You will translate customer requirements into technically viable, commercially competitive automation solutions for warehouse operations, and manage pre-contract activities with cross-functional teams.

You will lead tender development, pricing, and system layouts, while mentoring other engineers and contributing to strategy.

Qualifications

Degree in engineering or related field.
Experience in automated material handling, warehouse automation or intralogistics.
Experience in international/project-based environments.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Excel capability.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong commercial mindset with customer-focused solutions.
Ability to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Analyse customer requirements and operational data to develop logistics solutions.
Lead technical specifications through tender processes.
Develop automation solutions using diverse equipment and supplier tech.
Create competitive, viable proposals with pricing and layouts.
Manage bidding, planning, procurement, pricing, and internal acceptances.
Present technical solutions to customers with pricing and functionality.
Prepare final proposal documents and support contract submissions.
Coordinate handover from sales to project execution.
Contribute to sales strategy and product development.
Lead multiple projects and coach other Sales Engineers.
Drive continuous improvement with tools and training.
