Job summary

Boots UK is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our engineering team, delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance, breakdown response, repair and continuous improvement across our logistics warehousing facilities. You will work on automated systems including cranes, lifts, transfer cars and conveyors, ensuring equipment operates at optimal efficiency and safety standards are maintained.

This is a hands-on, on-site role requiring a time-served apprenticeship and relevant

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship with Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical and Level 2 in the other.
• Experience in a similar electro-mechanical engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Planned Preventative Maintenance & Repairs: Ensuring all materials handling equipment and facilities are maintained, repaired, and continuously improved to meet availability expectations.
• Self-Management: You will work largely unsupervised, prioritising tasks effectively and ensuring that customer requirements are met in an efficient, high-quality manner.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Engineering Management, Improvement Engineers, first-line fix managers, the Control Room, and Operational teams to maintain seamless operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Raise Continuous Improvement (CI) programs to enhance equipment performance and overall warehouse efficiency.
• Compliance & Safety: Upholding world-class standards in security, health and safety, regulatory compliance, and housekeeping.
• Reporting: Ensure accurate shift/breakdown reports are completed, contributing to ongoing improvements in our engineering services.
