Job summary

Boots is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer in Nottingham to provide maintenance, breakdown response, repair and CI support for our logistics warehousing facilities. You will work with automated systems such as cranes, lifts, transfer cars and conveyors to ensure optimal equipment performance.

The role requires a time-served apprenticeship with Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and at least Level 2 in the other, with experience in electro-mechanical engineering and a drive

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship with min Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, plus Level 2 in the other.
• Experience in an electro-mechanical engineering field.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Planned Preventative Maintenance & Repairs to keep materials handling equipment in good order.
• Self-management with largely unsupervised work and prioritised tasks.
• Collaborate with Engineering Management, Improvement Engineers, fix managers, Control Room and Operations teams.
• Raise Continuous Improvement (CI) programmes to boost equipment performance and warehouse efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of safety, regulatory compliance and housekeeping.
• Prepare and present shift/breakdown reports to support engineering improvements.
