Job summary

Great Bear in Rugby is seeking a Warehouse Allocator to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will set up and run orders per the shift plan to meet dispatch times, coordinating with First Line Managers to maximise efficiency.

The role requires proven warehouse experience, strong communication, and solid IT literacy with MS Office and WMS databases. Monday–Friday, 2pm–10pm, with a competitive salary of £29,718 per annum.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a similar role in a fast-paced warehouse/3PL environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate internally and externally.
• IT literate with knowledge surrounding MS Office and various WMS databases.
• Effective organisation skills with the ability to work from your own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Control equipment allocation within specified areas.
• Pre-allocate loads and maintain advanced pick position per shift plan.
• Monitor and update shift plans to deliver regular progress updates.
• Move staff across work areas to maintain correct flow of activities.
• Run orders in line with instruction and scheduled dispatch times.
• Select loading/unloading bays based on current requirements.
• Update electronic schedule and auto-store systems to reflect on-site activities.
• Carry out stock shortage investigations on picks and monitor replenishments.
• Compile and send reports as required.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Allocator to join our friendly team at our Rugby site on a full time permanent basis!

As a Warehouse Allocator, you will also set up and run orders in line with the shift plan to meet scheduled dispatch times. You should work closely with the warehouse First Line Managers to effectively manage resource and ensure that the flow of work is continuous to maximise efficiency.

Salary: £29,718 per annum.

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm.

Responsibilities of a Warehouse Allocator include:

• Controlling equipment allocation within specified areas.
• Pre-allocating loads and ensuring advanced pick position is maintained in line with shift plan.
• Monitoring and updating shift plans in order to deliver regular progress updates.
• Movement of staff across work areas to maintain correct flow of activities.
• Running orders in line with instruction and scheduled dispatch times.
• Selecting appropriate loading and unloading bays based on current operational requirements.
• Updating the electronic schedule and auto-store systems to maintain an accurate representation of activities taking place on site.
• Carrying out stock shortage investigations on picks and monitoring replenishments.
• Compiling and sending reports as required.
