Chesterfield Royal Hospital is seeking a Patient Services Assistant for ward catering and cleaning duties. The role covers food service to patients, meal delivery, and maintaining cleanliness in ward kitchens and communal areas.

You will follow infection control policies and work within a 16-hour contract across a four-day-a-week rota, including some weekends and bank holidays. Applicants should have basic Maths and English, good communication skills, and the ability to work both independently

• Provide food and drink service to patients on wards.
• Serve meals efficiently and accurately to required specifications.
• Support patients with menu selection and meal service.
• Maintain food safety and comply with Trust catering policies.
• Clean ward kitchens, catering areas and associated offices to required standards.
• Operate catering and cleaning equipment safely after training.
• Contribute to a positive dining experience for patients.
• Clean wards, departments and communal spaces to NHS National Cleaning Standards.
• Follow infection prevention and control, including the National Colour Coding System.
• Carry out specialist cleaning using appropriate methods and PPE.
