Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Ward Assistant at Royal Stoke Hospital. You’ll help deliver meals to wards, support patients, staff and visitors with a cheerful, professional manner, and contribute to a positive patient experience. Schedule is 33.25 hours over a 4-on/4-off pattern, 09:00–19:00.

Responsibilities

• Provide an efficient and professional catering service on wards, communicating effectively with colleagues and ward staff.
• Complete daily documentation accurately and in line with required schedules, procedures and standards.
• Safely transport and deliver food and beverage trolleys to wards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across ward kitchens, pantries and catering work areas.
• Ensure catering equipment is safe, clean and in good working order, completing routine cleaning and maintenance checks and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
