Hospital Domestic Services Assistant – Evening Shift

Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Domestic Services Assistant to join the Chesterfield Royal Hospital site. The role covers 16:00 to 20:00, totaling 16 hours per week, on a rota that includes weekends and bank holidays, to support wards and communal areas.

You will follow NHS cleaning standards, use PPE as required, maintain infection control with colour coding, secure stores, and report incidents.

Qualifikationen

• Basic education to include Maths and English.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.
• Ability to read and understand to the required standard.
• Experience working in a hospital environment.

Aufgaben

• Clean specified areas following training given and in accordance with NHS standards.
• Follow day-to-day schedule and directions from line management.
• Safely operate cleaning equipment and maintain equipment after use.
• Work to prevent infection using the National colour code system.
• Secure cleaning cupboards and manage keys issued to those areas.
• Attend mandatory training and comply with hospital policies.
• Report accidents and near misses or unsafe situations.
• Treat patients, visitors and staff with dignity and respect.
• Undertake specialist cleans requiring PPE and different methodologies.
• Undertake other duties as requested by line management.
• Complete audits within agreed timescales.
