Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a ward-based medicines support role to help transfer patients' own and dispensed one-stop medication between wards and to ensure stock is rotated to minimise wastage.

You will check medicine trollies weekly, reduce expired or unlabeled items, and assist ward staff in maintaining fridge and clinical room temperature logs. The rota includes seven-day, late duty and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of medicine supply systems.
• Ability to rotate stock and minimise wastage.
• Flexible with seven day, late duty and bank holiday rotas.

Responsibilities

• Support transfer of patients' own and dispensed one-stop medication between wards.
• Put away stock and rotate to minimise wastage.
• Identify medicines transferred and deliver to current location to minimise re-dispensing.
• Check and clear medicine trollies at least weekly; support fridge and clinical room temperature recording.
