Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support ward-based top-up services.
• Monitor medicine stocks and expiry dates.
• Maintain emergency drug supplies and ensure appropriate storage.
• Assist with the supply, dispensing and transfer of medicines.
• Assess patients' own drugs in line with standard operating procedures.
• Escalate supply issues to the appropriate team.
• Help patients access medication information, referring queries to clinical colleagues.
• Support audits and collect performance data.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Train new staff within own scope of practice.
• Follow departmental procedures.
• Contribute to service meetings, provide cross-cover and take part in rota-based duties.
