Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Ward administrator/housekeeper to support meal service delivery, communicate dietary needs and oversee ward cleanliness. The role includes daily checks of oxygen units, stock management and liaison with nursing staff.

You will also assist with Cardiac and Medical Day Stay receptionist duties, take calls, arrange patient movements and help ensure patient pathways are followed.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent) required.
• Driving licence required.
• Public-facing and hospital experience preferred.
• Good communication and organisational skills essential.
• Knowledge of patient IT systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support meal service delivery and communicate dietary requirements.
• Oversee cleaning standards and discharge cleaning of patient areas.
• Check oxygen and suction units daily; ensure stock availability of linen.
• Report faulty/defective equipment to the trust helpdesk.
• Assist with Cardiac and Medical Day Stay receptionist duties when needed.
