Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Blackpool is seeking a part-time Ward Housekeeper for Ward 35, working Saturdays and Sundays 07:30–16:00. The role involves supporting patient nutrition, maintaining a clean, safe ward environment and coordinating cleaning duties with the ward team.

Experience in NHS or similar settings is welcome but training will be provided. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Training in Health and Safety.
• NHS (or similar size organisation) experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with their nutrition and hydration needs.
• Ensure unit and patient areas are clean and tidy.
• Be pivotal in completing weekly/monthly cleaning duties to a high standard and documenting.
• Management of stock and supplies.
• Communicate with staff, patients and relatives verbally and by telephone.
