Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust in Maidenhead is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Housekeeper to join our inpatient ward team, working 37.5 hours per week.

You will help maintain a clean, comfortable ward environment, support infection prevention, coordinate meals, manage stocks, and participate in patient experience. Full training will be provided and weekend working is included.

Qualifications

• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and organise your own workload.
• Basic IT skills and willingness to use digital systems.
• A caring, sensitive and compassionate attitude towards patients and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable ward environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Support infection prevention and control standards by monitoring cleanliness and liaising with domestic teams.
• Coordinate and support patient meal services.
• Maintain ward stocks, including stores, food and linens.
• Ensure patient areas and equipment are clean and well maintained; report maintenance concerns.
• Assist with collecting patient feedback and supporting a positive patient experience on the ward.
• Work flexibly to support the changing needs of the ward and service.
