Job summary

Potens is excited to offer a Waking Support Worker role at Queens Court (Arbennig Unit), Old Colwyn. You will provide compassionate 1-1 support and help promote positive well-being for adults with diverse needs in a large Victorian home with extensive gardens.

We offer a pay rate of £13.00 per hour for 42 hours per week, plus a contributory pension, confidential employee assistance, and funded learning opportunities from level 2 to level 5 NVQ in Health & Social Care.

Qualifications

• Able to work independently, multitask, organise, and prioritise work to suit the people we support.
• Exceptional at building relationships and influencing at all levels, internal and external.
• Have an NVQ Level 2 or be willing to work towards.
• Ability to execute and deliver, whilst keeping a positive attitude under pressure
• Quick learner, hands-on, willing to be flexible in tasks and activities

Responsibilities

• The people we support are adults who have a range of diverse needs.
• Support 1-1 and continue to promote positive well-being.
• Working to maintain a high level of support that’s required for the service needs.
• Personal care may be involved
• Participating and being as enthusiastic about their likes and wants as they are.
• Maintain and develop their community links, as well as accessing community and leisure pursuits to support their independent living and life skills.
• This is within a large, spacious Victorian residential house with extensive gardens.
