Job summary

Affinity Trust in Newbury is seeking a part-time night support worker to assist adults with learning disabilities in a supported living setting. The role runs from 9.30pm to 7.30am, with some weekend work and daytime training or meetings as required. Training is provided, with opportunities to pursue NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care.

You will work in residents' homes, building connections and promoting independence, while ensuring safety and person-centred support during night hours.

Who will I support?

We currently have a part time position working nights in one of our supported living locations supporting adults with learning disabilities.

You will be working in their home, so it’s important you can connect, whether its because they like to stay up late and watch a film, listen to Music with a hot chocolate, or enjoy a relaxing bath before going to bed. Or they may be early risers and want your support to get up and ready for the day ahead, and so your role will be to provide responsive support during the night and early morning as required.

Our nights run from 9.30pm - 7.30am. You will need to be able to work flexibly, including some weekends.

You will need to be able to attend training and meetings during the day as required.

*Pay rate of £13.19 is effective as of 26th October 2026. Current rate £13.15
