Job summary

Swanton Care is opening a new Supported Living Service in Colne and seeks a Waking Nights Support Worker to help build the team from day one. You will support adults with learning disabilities, autism and brain injuries to live independently in their own homes and community.

You will work across nights in a dynamic service, providing practical and emotional support, promoting wellbeing, dignity and inclusion while assisting with daily tasks and personal care as needed.

Qualifications

• Passionate, caring and motivated Support Workers to join our team.
• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, or acquired brain injuries preferred.
• Able to work 1:1 or 2:1 with individuals in their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Support people to develop independence and confidence in daily lives.
• Encourage participation in hobbies, interests, education and community activities.
• Assist with visits to family and friends, shopping, walks and social opportunities.
• Provide practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs.
• Promote wellbeing, choice, dignity and inclusion at every opportunity.
• Support with household tasks, meal preparation and maintaining a comfortable home environment.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Complete records and documentation accurately.
