Job summary

Swanton Care & Community Ltd in Colne is opening a new Supported Living Service and is seeking a dedicated Waking Nights Support Worker to join the core team. You will help people live independently in their own homes and local community.

As a waking nights worker, you will provide person-centred care and support on night shifts across days, evenings and sleep-ins, empowering individuals with learning disabilities, autism and brain injuries to maintain wellbeing and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience in care or willingness to start a rewarding care career.
• Ability to support adults with learning disabilities, autism, and brain injuries.
• Commitment to person-centred, respectful support.

Responsibilities

• Support people to develop independence and confidence in their daily lives.
• Encourage participation in hobbies, education and community activities.
• Assist with visits to family and friends, shopping trips, walks and social opportunities.
• Provide practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs.
• Promote wellbeing, choice, dignity and inclusion at every opportunity.
• Support with household tasks, meal preparation and maintaining a comfortable home environment.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Complete records and documentation accurately.
