Radis Community Care is seeking a part-time Support Worker for our Extra Care Scheme in Melbourne, Royston. You will assist residents, including the elderly, with daily living activities to maintain independence and well-being.

You will support mobility, help with personal care, and participate in social activities. The role emphasizes dignity, respect, and person-centred care, with full training guaranteed and clear career progression paths.

• Aid residents with mobility to dining areas, communal areas and bedrooms.

Job description

Radis Community Care are looking for a part time Support Worker to join our scheme in Melbourne, Royston.

Moorlands Court has 35 one and two bedroom apartments designed to help local residents to retain as much independence and control over their lives as possible.

Minimum 2 nights per week. overtme available.

At this present time, we are unable to consider Sponsorship for this role.

About the role

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme you will be predominately supporting the elderly who are finding it difficult to cope due to physical frailty, enabling them to maintain independence. The role involves aiding residents with restricted mobility to move to dining areas at meal times, communal areas for social activities and to the privacy of their bedrooms at their request.

The role will require you to assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with residents, both individually and as a group.

The role is to promote resident’s independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the best standards of care.
