Radis Community Care in England invites applications for a Waking Nights Support Worker in our Stirchley House Extra Care scheme in Telford. You will support elderly residents with mobility, personal care, dignity and independence, helping them access dining areas and social spaces while maintaining privacy.

We offer full-time hours, paid training toward Care Certificate and dementia care, free uniform and PPE, mileage allowance, pension, and a structured career pathway with out-of-hours

About the role

As a Waking Nights Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme you will be supporting the elderly who are finding it difficult to cope due to physical frailty, enabling them to maintain their individuality and vital independence. You’ll help residents with restricted mobility to move to dining areas at meal times, communal areas for social activities and to the privacy of their bedrooms and bathrooms at their request.

You’ll help them with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing – this will mean you’ll understand the importance of privacy and dignity – so important to everyone. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by being a part of the recreational and social activities with residents, and as a group.

And always with a kind smile and a supportive word, even when sometimes a day is challenging!

Pay Rates - £13.90 nights

working on alternate weekends as part of rota
