Job summary

Saracen Care Services Ltd is seeking an Experienced Male Waking Night Support Worker to join our Swindon team. This part-time role focuses on enabling people with learning disabilities or autism to live their best life, with daily living skills and community access.

You will work 27 hours per week on the night shift, supported by a strong training program, DBS clearance, and a collaborative team dedicated to person-centred care. A full UK driving licence is preferred where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within adult health and social care, preferably within a supported living setting.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• If applicable, a valid work permit or visa with a minimum of 12 months remaining.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and practical support to the person you are supporting during daily activities, including accessing the community.
• Assist with domestic duties & household management, which may include cleaning, cooking, washing and managing finances.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene.
• Be able to motivate and encourage people through positive engagement and interaction.
• Promote choice and independence, encouraging people we support to achieve their personal goals.
• Keep accurate records, following company policies and CQC guidelines.
• Ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all individuals, adhering to safer recruitment guidelines and safeguarding guidance.

• Experience of supporting people who may display behaviours that challenge.
• Full UK driving licence.
