Job summary

Priory is recruiting for a Waking Night Support Worker at Oak House, Diss. The role involves 42 hours per week, following a three-week shift pattern and night hours from 8pm to 8am, providing person-centred care for adults on the autism spectrum with potential complex needs.

The role emphasises resilience, compassionate support, and helping residents maintain independence and dignity while recording care activity and outcomes.

Job description

Department: Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers

Location: Oak House

Compensation: £13.45 / hour

Description

Oak House is a residential service set back off the main road into Diss, Norfolk. We support up to six adults who are on the autism spectrum, and may have complex needs.

We are recruiting for a Waking Night Support Worker to work 42 hours per week. The role follows a three-week rolling shift pattern as follows:

  • Week 1: 5 nights on, 5 nights off
  • Week 2: 4 nights on, 5 nights off
  • Week 3: 5 nights on, 4 nights off

This three-week pattern then repeats.

What you'll be doing

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will provide the highest standard of person-centred support and care, enabling the people who use our service to live with dignity, independence, and choice.

Waking Night Support workers are key workers, and provide direct support to our service users in support them to live there best lives. Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

You will play a vital part in helping individuals achieve their personal goals, supporting them in daily living, and empowering them to realise their potential.

Shift Hours are: 8pm / 8am.
