Description

The Oaks and Woodcroft is located in Mattishall, Norfolk. It offers residential support for 12 males and females with a primary learning disability diagnosis. The facility is off a main road in a village.

Our team is dedicated to providing support to our residents in a homely environment in the community, ensuring they are safe while promoting independence and ensuring a good quality of life.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the facility and to support the wellbeing of our residents. You will assist with day-to-day operations, support care requirements, keep things organised, and ensure our spaces are well looked after, playing an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

Support workers are key workers, providing direct support to our service users and helping them live their best lives. The job is rewarding but challenging, requiring resilience and empathy to support others through highs and lows.

You will play a vital part in helping individuals achieve personal goals, supporting them in daily living, and empowering them to realise their potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks.
• Encourage and assist participation in activities and community life.
• Support service users in achieving their personal outcomes in the way they choose.
• Maintain accurate records, care plans, charts, and daily notes.
• Build positive relationships with service users, families, colleagues, and stakeholders.
• Uphold safety, security, and confidentiality in line with policies and regulations.
• Act as a key worker for individuals, helping them set goals and track progress.
• Promote choice, independence, and involvement at all times.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing ideas and suggestions.
