WAKING NIGHT RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER

RAINHAM, ESSEX RM13

A successful and expanding company is looking for an experienced Waking Night Residential Support Worker for their residential care home for children and young people based in Rainham, Essex RM13.

In return, we offer a competitive rate per waking night. Your shift will begin at 10pm and end at 9am. You will be required to attend team meetings and training days, which will be paid at a different rate. Our well-established home looks after children and young people with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities aged from 8 to 18 years old in a homely environment, providing residential and respite care.

Job Type / Category

The Waking Night Residential Support Workers will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the safety of the young people during the night
• Settling young people to their bed
• Completing regular checks on the young people and recording your practice
• Carrying out cleaning duties
• Participating in team meetings and developing your CPD with training

The successful Residential Support Workers will have:

• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care with children and young people (Previously NVQ Level 3) or working towards.
• Previous experience working with autism in residential/respite children's homes (minimum one year)
• Be prepared to work throughout the night contributing to the duty rota.
