WAKING NIGHT RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER

Location: Hornchurch, Essex RM11

A successful and expanding company is seeking an experienced Waking Night Residential Support Worker for their residential care home for children and young people based in Hornchurch, Essex RM11.

We offer a competitive rate per waking night shift, which begins at 10pm and ends at 9am. Attendance at team meetings and training days is required and will be paid at a different rate. Our well-established home cares for children and young people with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities aged 8-18 years in a homely environment, providing residential and respite care.

Responsibilities of the Waking Night Residential Support Workers:

• Ensuring the safety of the young people during the night
• Settling young people to their bed
• Completing regular checks on the young people and recording your practice
• Carrying out cleaning duties
• Participating in team meetings and developing your CPD through training

Qualifications and Experience:

• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care with children and young people (Previously NVQ Level 3) or working towards it
• Previous experience working with autism in residential/respite children's homes (minimum one year)
• Willingness to work overnight shifts as part of the duty rota
