Salary: £27,518.40 per annum with potential for overtime earnings.

Location: Guildford, Surrey

Contract: Full Time, permanent

Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week, working a rota of 10pm - 9am, five nights on and five nights off.

We seek friendly, outgoing, and experienced Waking Night Residential Childcare Support Workers. Candidates should have at least 12 months relevant experience and ideally hold qualifications such as Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma, Children and Young People's Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work 55 hours per week on a rota of 5 nights on and 5 nights off, with additional shifts possible during illness or crises.
• Promote the welfare of children as outlined in the Children Act 1989.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and supervision sessions.
• Participate in required training.
• Possibly attend young people's holiday in summer.
• Prepare for shifts by reviewing handover information and understanding the needs of the young people.
• Support young people's emotional well-being and promote healthy routines.
• Record night-time disturbances and monitor young people's movements.
• Conduct weekly fire alarm tests and complete relevant logs.
• Complete nightly and weekly tasks as assigned.
• Assist with morning routines, including setting up breakfast and promoting healthy eating.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.
