Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: Unqualified: £X,XXX rising to £X,XXX per annum on successful completion of probation period. Qualified Support Worker salary is based on the proven existing completion of a Level Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent.

Specific Hours: : pm - : am (hour shifts)

We seek a Waking Night Support Worker to join our team, providing a comprehensive residential service to children and young people, ensuring their physical, social, and emotional development.

  • Robust induction and mandatory training programs

  • Rotational weekly rota with specified hours

  • Annual leave including bank holidays
  • Annual holiday increase (capped hours)

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Be awake during the shift to ensure safety and welfare of children
  • Offer empathy and support during night hours
  • Engage children in activities and bedtime routines tailored to each child
  • Maintain accurate records using a computer
  • Report missing children and follow procedures
  • Communicate effectively with out-of-hours services
  • Handle calls professionally and respond to inquiries
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and equal opportunities
  • Act as a positive role model

All staff should demonstrate commitment to Area Camden's ethos and principles and contribute to team goals. Duties may evolve based on needs.

Essential Skills Required
  • Ability to work as part of a team with enthusiasm

  • Ability to follow delegated tasks and record handovers
  • Maintain policies and procedures

  • Hold or be willing to undertake a Level Diploma for Residential Childcare
