Job summary

Hightown is seeking a Waking Night Project Worker to support vulnerable adults in Hemel Hempstead. You will work 4 waking night shifts, 20:15–07:45, with a focus on safety, personal care, and maintaining dignity.

Salary is £28,152 per year for 40.25 hours per week plus benefits and ongoing training; successful candidates will need a care qualification or willingness to undertake one, a driving licence, and a commitment to safeguarding and professional boundaries.

The Role
  • Support vulnerable adults overnight, ensuring safety and wellbeing
  • Provide personal care when required, always upholding dignity
  • Offer emotional support and respond to any crises
  • Administer medication and complete light household tasks
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure the property remains secure
  • Communicate clearly and adapt to individual needs

Working Pattern: 4 waking night shifts across a two-week rolling rota, working 20:15 to 07:45. The rota includes weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-in cover where required.

About You

You are caring, reliable and motivated, with a compassionate approach, treating others with respect, working collaboratively and empowering people to live fulfilling lives. Holds a care certificate or willingness to undertake a care qualification. A full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.
