Hightown Housing Association in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for Lord Alexander House to help residents with mental health needs live independently in their own homes.
You will provide personalised support, encourage daily living skills, follow support plans and risk assessments, and build compassionate relationships while working with colleagues to maintain professional boundaries.

Position: Support Worker
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £26,853 per annum
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Join our caring team at Lord Alexander House, supporting people with mental health needs to live independently in their own purpose-built homes. You will help create an inclusive environment where individuals feel empowered to build confidence, develop life skills and achieve their goals.
You are respectful, reliable and confident communicating with people with diverse needs. You work well independently and as part of a team, and you bring a person-centred, inclusive approach to your work. Experience in a similar role is required.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, along with completing at least one sleep-in per week. Shifts include weekends and bank holidays.
For sleep-ins you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £52.78.
The successful candidate must always maintain appropriate professional boundaries and understand their responsibilities in relation to positions of trust.
All appointments are subject to satisfactory right to work, enhanced DBS, reference and medical clearances.
