Job summary

Securitas UK in Eastbourne is seeking compassionate Waking Night Mental Health Support Workers to provide overnight support to individuals with mental health needs. You will ensure safety, wellbeing, and comfort throughout the night, while maintaining documentation and clear handovers.

The role requires empathy, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous mental health or social care experience is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience, ideally Mental Health/LD/Neurodiverse support.
  • Ability to positively address and challenge inappropriate or negative behaviours and attitudes.
  • Experience of using therapeutic de-escalation and/or crisis intervention techniques.
  • Able to respond to changes in an individual’s needs and meet deadlines.
  • To encourage and manage participation and involvement from the people we support.
  • Computer literate, with confidence in using all Microsoft office programmes
