Job summary

Advance is recruiting a Waking Night Support Worker in Camborne TR14. You will work 36 hours weekly, with night shifts Mon-Sun 22:00–07:00, including weekends and holidays. Salary is £28,976.86 per year (£15.44 per hour).

The role supports people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs to live the lives they choose. No prior care experience is required; a caring attitude, good communication, and reliability are valued.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; values and determination to make a difference.
• Able to work well on your own and in a team.
• Excellent at communicating with people.
• Able to complete quality support records.
• Able to work every other weekend.
• Able to work 3 nights per week Mon-Sun.
• Able to follow a Support Plan and Risk Assessments.
• Literate and numerate in English.
• Willingness to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required).
• Ensuring the premises are secure and safe during the night.
• Supporting with meal times and food preparation (if required).
• Medication administration (if required).
• Support with independent skills.
• Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required.
• Keeping up to date with your training.
• Supporting with regular checks on the customer to ensure their safety.
• Supporting with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry.
