Job summary

Keys Group in Barry is seeking a Wake Night Support Worker to monitor residents through the night, ensuring safety and dignity while supporting night-time care. This role requires staying alert, adaptable, and attentive to residents’ needs in a residential setting.

You will work 35 hours per week at £13.45–£14.15 per hour, with benefits including DBS payment, generous annual leave, and opportunities for career development through QCF qualifications and Circle wellbeing discounts.

Kington House is a community-based residential home in Barry, We support male adults with mental health needs — including schizophrenia, personality disorders and alcohol or substance misuse — and have extensive experience of learning disabilities, dual diagnoses and acquired brain injuries, providing rehabilitation that focuses on greater independence.

JOB ROLE: Wake Night Support Worker


LOCATION: Barry CF62 6RA


SALARY: £13.45 - £14.15


HOURS: 35 A WEEK


As a Wake Night Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:



  • Monitoring the individuals during the night to ensure their safety and well-being.

  • Providing support when needed, including assisting with night-time care routines.

  • Responding to emergencies or incidents that may arise during the night.

  • Maintaining a calm and secure environment, helping to create a peaceful atmosphere for the individuals.

  • Assisting with light domestic tasks as required, such as tidying and cleaning communal areas.

  • Recording incidents or changes in the individuals' condition and ensuring accurate documentation is kept.

  • Working independently throughout the night, maintaining vigilance and attention to detail.


This role requires a calm, reliable, and responsible individual who can work effectively overnight to provide high-quality care and support.
