Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a dedicated Care Worker to support adults with complex health needs in Barry. You will assist with daily routines, personal care, medication support, and accompany residents to appointments, while promoting independence and safety.

No prior care experience is required as full training and development opportunities are provided, along with a strong induction and supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in care settings is welcomed but not required, as full training is provided.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Ability to support adults with health and social care needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support and routine for residents.
  • Promote independence and assist with personal care.
  • Support health needs and accompany to routine appointments.
  • Assist with budgeting, shopping, and domestic tasks.
  • Encourage participation in hobbies and activities to build skills.

Job description

Kington House is a community-based residential home in Barry, We support male adults with mental health needs - including schizophrenia, personality disorders and alcohol or substance misuse - and have extensive experience of learning disabilities, dual diagnoses and acquired brain injuries, providing rehabilitation that focuses on greater independence. As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day support and routine of the people within the service including:

  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care as required.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support., Keys Care provides safe, supportive homes for adults and children, offering tailored services and specialist support to help people thrive.
