Bannatyne Group is seeking an enthusiastic Waiting Staff member to deliver outstanding service in a stylish, welcoming environment. You will take orders, upsell where appropriate, and ensure guests have a memorable experience with a friendly, professional approach.

Ideal candidates are team players who communicate well and can work flexibly across shifts, including evenings and weekends, with opportunities for development within the Bannatyne brand.

Qualifikationen

• Previous customer-facing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food hygiene practices desirable.
• Confident upselling and recommending dishes and drinks.

• Assist with prep, restocking, and cleaning of restaurant/bar areas.

A typical day in the life of a Waiting Staff:

• Greet guests warmly and professionally, ensuring they are seated comfortably and promptly attended to.
• Take accurate food and drink orders using the hotel's ordering system and relay them efficiently to the kitchen or bar.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
• Maintain excellent product knowledge of menus, daily specials, wine lists, and allergen information.
• Ensure all tables are cleaned and reset quickly and efficiently for the next guests.
• Handle guest queries or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the Restaurant Manager where needed.
• Assist with the preparation, restocking, and cleaning of the restaurant or bar before, during, and after service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with health and safety and food safety regulations.
• Support colleagues and contribute positively to team morale and the overall guest experience.
• Attend team meetings and training as required to continually improve service and performance.

Qualities and Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A friendly, professional, and approachable manner.
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on customer service.
• Ability to work well under pressure and during busy periods.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including COSHH, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

It would be desirable if you had previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within a restaurant or hotel environment. It would also be advantageous to hold a Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 1 or above), but not essential - training can be provided.
