Job summary

Dickens Inn at St. Katharine's Docks in London is hiring Waiting Staff on a fixed-term contract until December 2026. The role requires a minimum 20 hours per week with potential extra hours depending on business needs.

The position offers £12.85 per hour, with an extra £1.20 per hour for hours between midnight and 6 am, bringing the maximum rate to £14.05 per hour. Shifts run 9am–1am across weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 18+ age requirement to perform certain tasks and serve alcohol.
• Good level of spoken English to communicate with guests and colleagues.
• Willingness to work across weekdays, weekends, bank and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers and provide an outstanding customer experience.
• Set up event spaces and prepare for service to ensure high standards.
• Help create memorable experiences for guests celebrating occasions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
• Keep all areas clean and tidy at all times.
• Take customer orders through table service and assist with QR code ordering.
• Serve drinks and run food from the pass to tables.

WAITING STAFF - DICKEN'S INN, ST. KATHERINE'S DOCKS, LONDON

Fixed term contract until end of December 2026!

Please note this is 20h a week MINIMUM contract - succesfull candidates may be expected to have thier hours increased, depending on business needs.

Pay Rate: £12.85 per hour + as a little incentive, you will earn an extra £1.20 per hour for hours worked between midnight and 6 am, bringing your rate of pay to £14.05 per hour.

ABOUT YOU:

• As a Waiting Staff, you will believe in the power of people & believe that today is going to be a good day.
• You will be passionate and kind whilst always ensuring that all guests leave having had the best of times.
• Due to some responsibilities within theWaiting Staffrole, applicants will need to be 18 years of age or over to perform certain tasks or work on certain shifts and be able to serve alcohol.
• A good level of spoken English is needed to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues and to support safe and efficient service.
