Job summary

SSP Group is seeking Waiting Staff for Dickens Inn, St. Katharine's Docks, London, on a fixed-term contract until December 2026. Shifts include hours between 9am and 1am, with a minimum 20 hours per week and potential hours increases.

Pay rate is £12.85 per hour, with an additional £1.20 per hour for overnight hours (midnight-6am), plus tips and service charge where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older to perform certain tasks and serve alcohol.
• Good level of spoken English for guest and colleague communication.
• Able to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers and provide an outstanding experience.
• Set up event spaces and prepare for service to high standard.
• Help create memorable experiences for weddings and celebrations.
• Collaborate with colleagues for smooth operations.
• Keep areas clean and tidy at all times.
• Take orders via table service and QR code ordering.
• Run food from the pass to tables accurately.
• Prepare and serve drinks as part of restaurant service.

Please note this is 20h a week MINIMUM contract - succesfull candidates may be expected to have thier hours increased, depending on business needs.

Pay Rate: £12.85 per hour + as a little incentive, you will earn an extra £1.20 per hour for hours worked between midnight and 6 am, bringing your rate of pay to £14.05 per hour.

ABOUT YOU:

• As a Waiting Staff, you will believe in the power of people & believe that today is going to be a good day.
• You will be passionate and kind whilst always ensuring that all guests leave having had the best of times.
• Due to some responsibilities within theWaiting Staffrole, applicants will need to be 18 years of age or over to perform certain tasks or work on certain shifts and be able to serve alcohol.
• A good level of spoken English is needed to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues and to support safe and efficient service.
