Job summary

Richmond Villages Cheltenham, part of Bupa, invites a friendly waiter or waitress to join our team. You will set up tables, serve meals in the restaurant and café, and ensure residents receive dignified, personalized attention during mealtimes.

Shifts run 08:00–20:00, including weekends. Applicants must be 18+ due to alcohol service. Training is provided and benefits include healthcare, holiday entitlement, and pension options.

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred but training is provided.
  • Good communication and a friendly manner are essential.
  • Ability to work as part of a caring team in a retirement village environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up tables in the restaurant and café before service.
  • Serve meals at mealtimes and provide room service where needed.
  • Serve drinks at the bar for applicants aged 18+.
  • Keep the restaurant and café tidy and clean at all times.
  • Assist with tray preparation and dish clearing as required.
  • Support other areas of the village when requested.

£12.90 per hour - Paid breaks Permanent position. Full-time or part‑time hours considered.

Shifts will fall between 08:00 and 20:00, including weekends. (Applicants must be 18+ due to the requirement to serve alcohol.)

Responsibilities

You’ll help us make health happen by: Setting up tables in the restaurant and café Serving in the restaurant and café at mealtimes Preparing trays and providing room service to village residents who wish to stay in their rooms for meals Serving drinks at the bar as required (only applicable to applicants over 18 years old) Ensuring that the restaurant and café are tidy and meet all high standards Keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy at all times You may also be asked to support other areas as required, such as serving meals to or removing trays from resident’s rooms, restocking resident’s personal kitchens or delivering refreshments to other locations in the village.

With your background in customer service, and potentially some experience in catering or kitchen roles—though not essential as training is provided—you excel in communication.
