Bupa's Richmond Villages Bede Village in Bedworth is seeking a Head Host to lead hospitality operations, coordinate rotas, and supervise staff across the restaurant services.

The role balances hands-on customer care with people management and administrative duties, backed by training and development opportunities. It offers a permanent 40-hour contract with weekend rotation and late shifts as required.

Salary range: £13.60ph & Excellent Benefits

Contract: Permanent 40hrs

Shift Patterns: Hrs Between 8-7pm to include weekends on rota & some late nights to cover events

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hospitality experience who enjoys a hands‑on role but is also comfortable managing people, coordinating rotas, and carrying out administrative tasks. The role combines customer-facing hospitality responsibilities with team leadership and operational support to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant services.

You will help us make health happen by:

• Supporting the day-to-day management of the hospitality team.
• Assisting with staff supervision, providing guidance and support to ensure high service standards are maintained.
• Taking accountability for creating and managing staff rotas, ensuring appropriate staffing levels are in place to meet business needs.
• Completing administration duties (approximately 50% of the role), including updating records, managing schedules, handling departmental paperwork, and supporting reporting requirements.
• Monitoring attendance, holiday requests, and shift cover arrangements.
• Supporting the Hospitality Manager with operational organisation and team performance
• Setting up for business & serving at mealtimes
• Serving drinks at the bar as required (only applicable to applicants over 18 years old)
• Ensuring that the restaurant and café & kitchen are tidy and meet all high standards

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

You're someone that cares for others and wants to make a real difference to people's lives. You have previous customer service experience, and you might also have some experience in a catering role or kitchen role although this is not as essential, as training is provided. A great communicator, you'll enjoy working in a close‑knit team, with people from all walks of life. Always looking to deliver an excellent service to our residents, you'll use your knowledge of maintaining a clean, tidy, safe and hygienic environment.
