Job summary

The Hero’s Return in London’s Battersea Power Station is opening a brand-new venue and is seeking a friendly waiter to join the Front of House team. You’ll greet guests, take orders, and ensure a memorable dining experience from arrival to departure.

You will serve food and drinks, maintain a clean and welcoming space, and work closely with a lively team. Full training and development support are provided to help you grow with the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
• Positive attitude and guest-focused approach.
• Excellent communication with guests and colleagues.
• Reliability and punctuality; ability to join from day one.
• Right to work in the UK, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests with a warm smile and showing them to their table.
• Taking orders accurately and communicating with kitchen and bar teams.
• Serving food and drinks efficiently, with care and attention.
• Checking in regularly to ensure guests are comfortable and happy.
• Handling payments and enquiries politely and confidently.
• Keeping dining areas clean and presentable at all times.
• Working with the team to maintain a positive atmosphere.

The Role

As part of our Front of House team, you will be the friendly face of our new venue. You’ll play a key part in shaping our reputation for great service and guest satisfaction. Whether it’s greeting guests, serving food and drinks, or keeping the space looking its best, your focus will always be on making every visit a special one.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming guests with a warm smile and showing them to their table
• Taking orders accurately and communicating clearly with kitchen and bar teams
• Serving food and drinks efficiently, professionally, and with care and attention
• Checking in regularly to ensure guests are comfortable, happy, and have everything they need
• Handling payments, enquiries, and any requests politely and confidently
• Keeping dining areas, tables, and service stations clean, tidy, and presentable at all times
• Working closely with the whole team to create a positive, energetic, and supportive atmosphere
• Following all health, safety, and hygiene standards to keep everyone safe

• Experience: Previous hospitality or customer service experience is a bonus — not required — full training will be provided
• Right to work: You must hold valid permission to work in the UK
