Job summary

BNY in Manchester seeks a Vice President, Tax Management Manager to oversee client operations and reporting within Wealth Services. The role emphasizes tax accuracy, process improvement, and senior stakeholder collaboration.

Lead the Transaction Taxes Team, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive data‑driven efficiency while leveraging AI-enabled tools to enhance client experiences and operational performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications preferred.
• Several years of tax management experience in financial services operations.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and client-facing interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrable interest in continuous learning and delivery of process improvements, including the use of digital tools and AI.

Responsibilities

• Apply tax rules to operational processes, ensuring tax accounted for where applicable.
• Analyze the trade lifecycle data for transaction taxes treatment.
• Verify stamp duty balances between extract and Nexus daily.
• Investigate and resolve SDRT/Stamp Duty exceptions.
• Create payments in line with HMRC/Revenue deadlines.
• Prepare SDRT/Stamp Duty reclaims for Revenue submission.
• Process reclaimed SDRT/Stamp Duty funds.
• Account for stamp duty on rolling basis for unpaid CREST items (UK and Irish).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting and efficiency.
