Job summary

Fuse Energy is seeking a Vice President of Engineering in London to take full ownership of a core engineering domain. You will report to the CTO, define strategy and architecture, and lead a hands-on team responsible for delivering complex systems across real-time generation, modelling, and high-volume data pipelines.

You will guide engineers, product partners, and stakeholders to shape the platform's future.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable excellence as an IC
• Proven track record of building complex systems that run in production
• Experience leading engineering teams while remaining hands-on
• Clear communication with engineers, product, and commercial stakeholders
• Comfort operating with a wide scope and little structure, and the judgment to decide what gets built and what doesn’t

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of a core engineering domain, including strategy, architecture, and delivery.
• Architect and build core systems from real-time generation to high-volume pipelines and customer-facing apps.
• Build and lead the engineering team in your domain, including hiring, structure, and standards.
• Set technical direction alongside the CTO and the wider leadership team.
• Ship alongside your team on the hardest problems.
