GSK plc is seeking a VP, Oncology Clinical Development Disease Area Head to lead end‑to‑end clinical development across the Hematology/Oncology portfolio. You will shape strategy, integrate cross‑functional insights, and drive early- to late‑phase programs toward regulatory approval and launch.

You will oversee cross‑functional teams, engage in external advisory boards, and foster a culture of scientific excellence.

Qualifications

• Medical degree with oncology board eligibility.
• 10+ years of global oncology clinical development leadership.
• Senior leadership in early- and late-phase oncology drug development.
• Proven track record delivering late‑phase trials & regulatory submissions.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed, multi‑stakeholder programs.

Responsabilités

• End‑to‑end clinical development of oncology assets from FTIH to launch, ensuring rigor, speed and quality.
• Shape and drive scientific/clinical strategy for assigned disease areas and assets.
• Integrate clinical and disease‑area expertise into preclinical and translational research.
• Evaluate novel approaches (AI/ML, new trial designs, external data) when value is clear.
• Provide program‑level oversight, governance and visible progress tracking.
• Lead scientific advisory boards and external engagements to inform asset strategy and portfolio decisions.
• Cross‑functional leadership to align research, development and commercialization.
• Build partnerships to accelerate decision‑making and optimize outcomes in a matrix environment.
• Mentor and develop Clinical Development Leads and Medical Directors within Oncology.
