Job summary

Goldman Sachs in London is seeking a seasoned Core Engineering - Technical AI Solutions Engineer (VP) to embed with internal teams, design secure AI products, and deliver production-ready cloud-native applications.

You will lead rapid prototyping, solution architecture, forward-deployed engineering, and end-to-end AI/ML integration, collaborating with risk, controls, and enterprise platforms to drive measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 9+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building, deploying, and supporting robust production applications.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go with strong software engineering and design practices.
• Experience translating complex business requirements into cloud-optimized architectures and scalable data models.
• Experience in forward-deployed/internal client-facing engineering models with rapid prototyping and production handoff.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) including serverless, containers, and security standards.
• Experience integrating LLM/AI/ML capabilities into production apps (RAG, embeddings, vector search, prompts, validation).
• Excellent communication skills engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Rapid prototyping, design, build, and deploy cloud-native AI applications with CI/CD and automated testing.
• Part­ner with business and engineering teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities and define scalable architectures.
• Embed with Core teams to map workflows, identify automation opportunities, and drive adoption through pilots and feedback.
• Build AI applications using LLM APIs, embeddings, vector search, and structured outputs for production use.
• Apply cloud-native services, observability, and MLOps practices to ensure scalable, resilient apps.
