Job summary

Citi London is hiring a Lead Forward Deployed AI Engineer to architect and deliver sophisticated, production-grade AI agent systems for critical banking workflows. You will own end-to-end engineering, mentor teams, and enforce high security and reliability standards across enterprise integrations.

You will work in a hybrid London setting with collaborative, fast-moving delivery and deep partnerships with business and technology colleagues.

Qualifications

• Proven backend and distributed systems experience.
• Production-grade LLM/agent AI applications exposure.
• Strong Python, async programming and complex workflows design.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical architecture and hands-on delivery in embedded teams.
• Design and deploy end-to-end agentic workflows using Python, ADK, LangGraph and Arc platform.
• Integrate enterprise APIs, databases and microservices with agent architectures.
• Ensure secure, resilient agent execution environments with mTLS, OAuth2 and Vault.
• Drive architecture reviews, code reviews and security assessments.
• Mentor engineers and share reusable enterprise design patterns.
• Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to solve complex challenges.
• Contribute architectures and blueprints to Citi’s AI platform.
